being perfect
If it was swinging a baseball bat, they would say "Practice makes perfect".
If it was math homework, they would say "Practice makes perfect"
It was a constant theme in my life.
Then I began to hear a new thought: "No one is perfect."
No wonder we grow up with emotional problems. The people in charge are confused.

Dear God!!!
Seemed like a simple instruction.
Went down later and found the clothes in the washer, but it wasn't turned on.
When questioned on this, he simply said that I told him to put it in the washer. I didn't say turn it on.
Dear God in heaven, be with the human race, not sure we are the best thing you ever created.

Religion??
Looking at it I decided that a lot of religion is in the hands of some really crazy people.
Looks to me like there are several thousand denominations alone in the Christian religion, and most of them don't think the other denominations are really Christian. Then we look at the Jewish religion, and it appears that it is Temple vs Temple for who is best. I am sure the Muslim faith is similar, as I know that this radical new jihad stuff is not in the original Koran.
I think that some of the wind storms we have on earth may be God letting out a long exasperated sigh as he looks at our crazy approach to religion.
Cant say I blame him,

STUCK in Life
The news said he was indecisive and waffling.
The experts said it showed poor leadership and would impact his reelection prospect.
Frankly, if someone never changes their mind I think they may be stuck in life. If I believe the same things today as I did 20 years ago then I am really stuck in the quicksands of life.
To me, if I am stuck in life, I might as well be dead. So I guess our President is still alive.
Good for him.

Today's Music - Trouble
Reminded me of how my folks said Elvis was doing the same thing to my generation.
I think my grand parents thought my parents were in trouble when they danced "Jive" to Glen Miller.
I immagine some cave man thinking the next generation was doomed because they danced around a campfire.
The great thing about life is that some things never change.

Empty Table
He sat at the table in his place and she sat at the table in her place.
Same table, no connection, no smiles, no conversation,
just eating together in two different places.
I wanted to believe it was just a bad night, but I knew it was just a bad relationship.
They made me so sad that I kissed my wife
and then I felt better.

The City
The bigger it got the smaller I felt.
I feel the same when I am on the ocean,
but it feels good there.

Life is good
They said my boat would be in the water in two weeks.
I wiped a tear from my eye and acknowledge the perfection of God.
Doesn’t take much to make me appreciate the goodness of life.

Readers’ hearts will be beating hard as they join in this adventure where people come back from the dead, wear so many facades you’re not quite sure who’s on the good or bad side of the law, while experiencing the growing attraction between the lady ‘cop’ who could be lying through her teeth and the normally bored psychologist who stepped into the adventure of a lifetime.
The author, a practicing psychotherapist, certainly knows how to light a fire at the beginning of a tale and guide the reader through all types of personalities and red herrings that will make them very disappointed when the story has to come to an end.
Quill Says: This is one psychologist who has met his match when it comes to a truly astonishing female!
