Think opposite sometimes
Over the years I’ve learned to try to balance my thinking by going to the opposite thought. Looking around me I realized that life has a harmony about it. If there is a right, there has to be a left. If there is up, there is going to be down. Front, back; In, out. You get the picture.
So if I am feeling down about something, I need to balance it with an up thought. For example, I messed up something the other day and proclaimed to myself, “I’m an idiot.” At the moment, the statement had some merit, but it was only half the story. My balance statement was “I’m very cleaver.” Both statements are true, so why just dwell in the negative? There are probably a lot of things we have done wrong in our life, so isn’t it refreshing to know we have done so many good things too. Just Say’n

Sunday Sundae
Anyhow, I began to wonder why we call it a Sundae. Found out the in the 1800’s the religious folks decided that an ice-cream soda was decadent and should not be served on Sundays. An ice-cream soda is chocolate syrup, ice-cream, and club soda. The local ice-cream shop decided it would be less decadent if they removed the soda and just serve ice-cream and chocolate syrup. To make it more holy, they called the concoction a “Sundae” in honor of the day it was served, “Sunday”.
Seems to me the only thing NOT decadent in an ice-cream soda is the soda, but somehow they got away with it.
Whew, that was a lot of writing. Think I better go get something sweet to eat. Just Say’n.

Today
I have concluded that if I spend too much time thinking about yesterday, I will not enjoy today.
On the other hand, if I spend all my time worrying about tomorrow, I will once again not enjoy today.
So my intention is to simply enjoy today! So far - so good. Just Say’n.

Happy Birthday Janetta
However, my wife is a different creature entirely. She begins to remind everyone that her birthday is going to be here soon. To her, soon means in the next few months. The closer we get, the more excited she becomes.
Her Birthday begins a few days before the actual day and continues for at least a week after. It is really fun to watch her excitement during this time of celebration.
What is even better is to know that her love of life will continue well beyond the celebration of the event. Happy Birthday my wonderful wife, and may you have at least 100 more.
Just Say'n I Love You.

Readers’ hearts will be beating hard as they join in this adventure where people come back from the dead, wear so many facades you’re not quite sure who’s on the good or bad side of the law, while experiencing the growing attraction between the lady ‘cop’ who could be lying through her teeth and the normally bored psychologist who stepped into the adventure of a lifetime.
The author, a practicing psychotherapist, certainly knows how to light a fire at the beginning of a tale and guide the reader through all types of personalities and red herrings that will make them very disappointed when the story has to come to an end.
Quill Says: This is one psychologist who has met his match when it comes to a truly astonishing female!
