Grumpy old man

Talked to someone the other day who wore me out. This person is the same age as I am, is in good health, just retired, and is ready to die. I haven't heard so much negative outlook from one person in a long time.

I tried to encourage him to try something new like ballroom dancing, golf, fishing, or anything other than sitting and watching TV. To him, dancing was for sissies, golf was boring, fishing was too much work, and anything else I mentioned was also not a good idea.

He hates the cold, but refuses to move south. Wants to be with his family, but never goes to see them. Doesn’t like to read, won’t try art, hates music, and generally doesn’t like to do anything.

This man isn’t depressed, he just is lazy. To him it is easier to complain about the problem than pursue a solution.
The good thing about being with him was the ability to see what I never want to become. Life is good, how sad to waste it. Just Say’n.

Readers’ hearts will be beating hard as they join in this adventure where people come back from the dead, wear so many facades you’re not quite sure who’s on the good or bad side of the law, while experiencing the growing attraction between the lady ‘cop’ who could be lying through her teeth and the normally bored psychologist who stepped into the adventure of a lifetime.

The author, a practicing psychotherapist, certainly knows how to light a fire at the beginning of a tale and guide the reader through all types of personalities and red herrings that will make them very disappointed when the story has to come to an end.

Quill Says: This is one psychologist who has met his match when it comes to a truly astonishing female!
