It is July 4th weekend, which means Bar-B-que, fire works and flags. I love our country and generally am proud to be an American (as any group of people we do have our dumb moments, but overall we do a good job as a country). We display our flag on July 4th, and it is special to me as it was given to us at my fathers funeral. He was a WWII vet who was shot twice and returned to combat both times. In reading some articles, I stumbled on the following facts:
3.2 million
The dollar value of U.S. imports of American flags in 2010; more than half of this amount ($2.8 million) was for U.S. flags made in China.
Somehow, it just doesn't seem right to pick up an American flag and see the tag, made in China. Just Say'n
Most people will celebrate this July 4th by joining our blog family. They will do this by hitting the "Follow this Blog" button or hit the Twitter or Facebook button. Then they will be so happy they will shoot off fireworks. If you believe this, I can also get you a good price on the Brooklyn Bridge. Just Say'n
