Why can’t we be friends

Listening to a conversation the other day and decided the people didn’t really want to talk to each other, they just wanted to be right and prove their point. Problem was, neither of them really made much sense, they just kept getting louder and more agitated. I finally just tuned them out. 
Seems to me a lot of us need to prove we’re right and the only way to do that is prove you’re wrong. If you’re wrong, then I guess my being right makes me better than you. 
Think of how much judgement is in the world just so somebody can feel they’re better than somebody else. Frankly, judgement sucks! But if you judge somebody and I think you suck because of it, then I guess I’m judging you and I suck. Whew! Why don’t we all just chill and try to be friends. It would take a lot less energy.
