Flying High

My wife and I are taking a trip in a few weeks and it includes flying. I really don't like flying. It isn't a fear of flying that bothers me, I have been in rough weather and not so pleasant flights with no problem. What I hate is the airline itself. I remember when flying was a very positive experience. The flight attendants were actually attendant and the atmosphere was one of adventure. Now it is one of simple survival.

I liked Jet Blue when it started. The people who worked there really made you feel like they liked you, but now it is just another airline with TV screens and earphones for $2.00.

One flight I was on several years ago, the flight attendant got on the intercom with a real western accent and as we came to a stop at the gate said, "Whoa, big fella. WHOA!"

On another flight,  after a particularly rough landing during thunderstorms, a flight attendant on a Northwest flight announced, "Please take care when opening the overhead compartments because, after a landing like that, sure as hell everything has shifted."

Flying used to be fun, but now.....I'm just glad when it is over. Just Say'n.

Readers’ hearts will be beating hard as they join in this adventure where people come back from the dead, wear so many facades you’re not quite sure who’s on the good or bad side of the law, while experiencing the growing attraction between the lady ‘cop’ who could be lying through her teeth and the normally bored psychologist who stepped into the adventure of a lifetime.

The author, a practicing psychotherapist, certainly knows how to light a fire at the beginning of a tale and guide the reader through all types of personalities and red herrings that will make them very disappointed when the story has to come to an end.

Quill Says: This is one psychologist who has met his match when it comes to a truly astonishing female!
